2021 IS A PIVOTAL TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHERE YOU CAN EITHER MAKE THINGS BETTER OR WORSE.

2021 IS A PIVOTAL TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHERE YOU CAN EITHER MAKE THINGS BETTER or WORSE.

Here’s the truth: My life is NOT just the Instagram Shots of the plane, the nice cars, the stacks of money, the sold-out stadiums…

But I do want to tell you what it takes to become successful and do these things.
This pivotal moment you have in your life this year will launch where you’re going for the next 10 years.
Your life can go one of two ways:
It can go very, very different…GOOD… or very, very different BAD.

Check this out—In my early 20s, I used to NOT like who I was. My body was sick, I was physically ill, I was addicted to drugs, my environment and my surroundings were terrible…and I had to change.

Now maybe that’s not where you’re at today. You don’t have those kinds of problems.
But change is happening to you and me no matter where you’re at. Things don’t stay the same…they’re either going to get worse or they’re going to get better.
Nothing stays the same, it’ impossible.
Going into this New Year, this new decade, you might have a…
·       New business
·       New relationship
·       New city
·       New friends
·       New job
Your life’s either going to get better or it’s going to get worse.
I wish somebody would’ve told me this when I was 15 years old: It’s up to you.”

BETTER OR WORSE…DON’T STAY THE SAME!

Maybe you’re 20 years old and you’re wondering what’s 20 to 30 going to look like? Or maybe you’re 30 years old and you’re starting to settle down—thinking less about going out on the weekends and more about your money.
Or maybe you got a little bit of money and now you’re like, I want to protect my money now. Should I buy a house? Do I settle down and have kids? Am I going to move from a job to a career?
Look, you must keep changing. You can’t NOT change.
I wish I could tell you that I change without hitting rock bottom, without being under a threat, without it being an emergency, that that I’d have some wisdom and say, “I need to just keep changing.”
I consciously know I’m supposed to change my whole life. But I keep waiting too long to change.
When you see me pushing and pressing today, it’s because I’ve made so many mistakes over the last 40 years and I waited too long to change.

I was in a bad relationship…took me 4 years to get out of the relationship.
When I finally got out of that relationship, I got into another bad relationship.
Why did it take me so long to change? That’s why I didn’t find the right woman until I was in my mid-40s.

POSTPONING CHANGE

In 2008 when the economy crashed and I knew, probably 4 or 5 years BEFORE that, I knew that the space I was in was going to be in trouble. I knew the business I had wasn’t scalable. I knew the money I had and was making was not dependable going forward.
But I started backing off playing golf 3 times a week. I joined a country club, acting like a hotshot, got some cars, bought a house. And then 2008 financial recession happens…

YOU’VE GOT A NEW YEAR HERE AND THAT DOESN’T MEAN IT’S GOING TO BE BETTER FOR YOU.

I just want to keep it real.
Everybody’s all pumped right now. New year resolutions. This is going to be the best year ever. The next decade’s going to be unbelievable.
Not necessarily.
It probably won’t be better for most people who don’t change. You got to change and you’ve got to keep changing.

Nothing will be the same.
This is the one prediction I can give you without being Nostradamus.
I don’t need to be a psychic to tell you this:
It’s either going to be better or it’s going to be worse.
If you’re in a relationship, you’ve got a kid right now, it’s going to be better or it’s going to be worse—you get to decide how it’s going to be!
Ask yourselfWhat am I changing right now or what am I going to reinforce right now so things can get better for me?

LAST YEAR I HAD TO LOOK AT MY HEALTH BECAUSE MY BODY WAS GETTING WORSE, NOT BETTER.
I was in physical pain every day, so even though I was making a lot of money, had bought my own personal airplane and had a couple of nice cars, had two beautiful kids…my body was in pain every day.
You can put all the watches on you want, you can have a Mercedes and a Gulf stream…and you can have all the likes you want on Instagram or YouTube and Facebook—but if you don’t pay attention to your physical body, it will jack you up.
There’s no escape in this.
·       If you don’t take care of your body, you will pay the price.
·       If you don’t take care of your money, you will pay the price.
·       If you don’t take care of your relationships, you will pay the price.
You could have a lot of success in 2020 and beyond. You could have a lot of financial success. You could get well-known…but none of that means you’re going to be happy.
Why? I know because I’m not always happy. I’m not always CHANGING.
YOU DON’T NEED TO WAIT UNTIL YOU HIT ROCK BOTTOM TO CHANGE.
Wise people learn from the mistakes of others. The ignorant wait to hit bottom and learn from their own mistakes.
Most people don’t make it back from the failures. Most people don’t make it back from the losses. Most people don’t make it back from hitting bottom.
Most people will use excuses NOT to change:
·       I don’t have time.
·       I don’t have money.
·       I don’t know the right people.
·       I don’t have the skills.
·       I’m too young.
·       I’m too old.
·       Color of my skin.
·       I’m a man.
·       I’m a woman.
Whatever!
It’s either going to get better or it’s going to get worse for you.
Just because it’s 2020 doesn’t mean it’s going to be better. You’re guaranteed nothing. I’m guaranteed nothing.
So, this year I hope that you go out and CHANGE before you hit bottom, CHANGE before you need to pay attention to your relationships before they’re a problem.
Pay attention to them so they’re not a problem. Pay attention to your money so you’re not worried about money every second of every day. Pay attention to the place you live.
Should you still be in a house or could your money be serving you better?
Do you need to stay where you are? Do you need to move someplace this year? Do you need to take a trip or do you need to go to a conference?
You could be very comfortable with your friends and your family on the weekends or you could be like, I’m going to change.
This year I want to meet new people. I want to surround myself with new people, new stories, new ideas.

YOU SHOULD REALLY BE THINKING RIGHT NOW NOT ABOUT 2020 BUT 2030.

What’s 2030 going to be like for you because what you do THIS YEAR is going to determine what 2025 and 2028 and 2030 is going to be like.
Pay the price this year. I’d love to know below what are you going to change? What are you going to give up?
Everybody talks about what they’re going to do and how great things are going to be, but if we keep it real, what people need to do is look at what are they going to give up.
I had to give up drugs. I had to give up friends. I had to give up environments. I had to give up the country club. I had to give up golf with my buddies. I had to give up relationships for awhile.
What are you willing to give up this year and will it be better? Will it be worse? Are you willing to give up some good stuff so that you can have a better life?
START NOW.
Be great!
